Gym Management

We have all faced this problem…. you have 6-10 Pokemon assigned to gyms at any given time. Some may sit in the same gym for months. Often, your whole line up will remain unchanged for a week. Then one day, you go to the store to claim your daily bounty, only to find you have lost 1-4 “properties” overnight. But which ones? Do I now have to drive by every freaking gym I haunt? Ug. How do you track and manage this?

That is a great question. Small geography not so bad except like you said, those ones that have been in a gym for an extended period of time, you, er I, tend to forget where I put them. It would be nice if they were tagged and when you revived them, you could see where they came from. It would help some. Maybe write down the location. Maybe take a screenshot when you place them, put those shots in a folder on your phone and then you can refer back. Hey!! This sounds more and more like work. Okay, I am not going to do that. But possibly for some of those obsessive compulsive, you know who we are, folks.

Yeah, I forget all the time, especially since I have an army of Gyarados that I put in gyms.  I can typically remember the other pokemon locations because I have nowhere near as many Snorlax and Dragonite as the rest of you (and only two Rhydons that are gym worthy), so they are easier to remember, but those Gyarados, no.  I started taking screenshots a few weeks ago, and that has been helpful.  I delete the pic when they get kicked out.

Hope you caught plenty of Jynx during your trek.

Edit: If other people post your gyms, you don’t need to screenshot.

There you go. Teamwork. Just trying to save you space on your phone. And no. That was the day I got kicked out. Caught one on the outside though. I’m so far behind on ice types, I decided to wait for a bigger nest. Like I’ve said before, I’ve never been a big nest trainer. I wish i would have seen the importance of jynx back when they had the nest at Bay Area Park. There was also a jynx nest at a little park by my house. I probably would have hit that park like you hit Pine Gully. Go clean out the park. Then go home. Then when it fills up again, head back and clean it out again. Don’t think i would have found a Lapras like you did though. Pretty jealous of that one. I will say Dos that you have driven me to focus more on medals. I’m constantly fighting with myself over where I should go hunt now. So thanks alot.:-) You are still the champ on medals and I expect you to be the first to finish them out. I assume it’s going to be up to those dam big fish or tiny rats.

Nests don’t come much bigger than that Jynx nest at Pine Gully, although you’ll have to walk for them.  I got 12 during a couple of the trips.  Seriously, hit it up if you’re off work during daylight hours before Wednesday.

I’ll probably get the big fish before the tiny rats, but Pikachu has been making itself scarce these days, so maybe that.  I spent today gymming and not hunting.  Oops.

Some people I know rename their pokemon after the gym they’re in as soon as the mons are placed.  That might be the way to go.  I keep forgetting to take screenshots.  I’d also forget to rename them.  Early onset dementia.

The jynx nest is $10 during the week, right?

No.  Or at least there is no one at the entrance gate during the winter months (between daylight savings off and on).  It may be honor system for non-Seabrook residents.  I’m not sure, since I’m from Seabrook and never looked carefully… but I’ve never seen anyone pay (although I thought I saw an older couple trying to steal from the pay box once. People.).  If you’re worried about it, park just outside the gates like everybody does in the summer.  Do a pass through the Maas Nursery parking lot on your way out.  They get some good spawns.

Uh oh, you’ve probably upset a delicate truce we’ve had for awhile.  We’ll see what the response is.  I take it that you made the Pine Gully trek?  Was it successful?

I hope Niantic do some work on this Gym location. I can’t imagine it is that hard to put a gym description with your pokemon. Oh well
