111.1 km on a Dragonair (mostly by bike), and something like 50 km with a Grimer, which was enough to evolve him, but he got the worst moves, so I switched buddies.

I’m trying to max out my lapras, but it’s a long grind

Good luck!  I’m still trying to get a Lapras with decent moves… have a crappy one.

I’ll be happy to get a crappy Lapras so I can complete the deck

That’s all you have left? Good for you! Time for a Galveston trip.

If you were in Galveston about 9:00 this morning, there was a Lapras out and about.

I was down there last Friday from 10AM-3PM. No luck. 🙁

It would be cool if I can make an appointment to see a Lapras and pick him up. Haha

There’s another thing to add to the Wish List! An appointment calendar!

Galveston is my favorite spot for sure. Another location I like to visit is Texas City dike. How is it compared to Galveston?

I have only done the Dike one time so there are certainly others who can comment with greater expertise. Long, straight, easy to go slow and turn around. Better be stocked up before you go, though. No stops.

I’ve been to the dike about 15 times. Its good. Galveston is better.

Started with a Dragonite, not sure how far we walked, until someone pointed out I should be walking my Grimer to evolve a Muk. After the Muk, I switched to my Chansey and we are 127.1 km in. Would eventually like to max out Chansey with 350+ HP then see how long it lasts in a gym.

I really want to to buddy Chansey but I’m gonna wait for one like yours. Probably next will be Lapras.

Walking Snorlax can be exhausting. He’s big and always asleep. I’d probably have twice as many kms if I didn’t have to drag him half the time.:-)

That’s too funny

But it has got me this far with my highest Snorlax and I still have 2 more power ups at this level. I probably would already have him maxed out but he was stuck on a gym for like a month. So I powered up one of my others until he’s was free again.

Dang a whole month, I’m happy if the go 30 minutes.

Yeah. It was in a spot where not many people would pull over to fight a gym. I figured it might last a week at best. Go figure. The funny thing is once the buddy system started I wanted to power him up but couldn’t. Kind of ironic I would want one of my pokemon knocked off a gym. I was ecstatic when he finally fell.:-)

I haven’t walked that far with any of mine.  I’ve been walking with the ones that I needed the least amount of candies in order to evolve.  Next, I’ll move along to the next lowest amount and so on.

I was a little disappointed that the walk moved from needing only 1 km to receive a candy to now 5 km to get one.  I may as well incubate my 5k eggs at the same time that I start with a buddy.
