Increase CP

Hi everyone. I want to see if anyone is having a problem I’m experiencing.

I have a Magnemite that hatched from an egg awhile back. Unlike some, I actually do use candies and stardust to increase my Pokemon’s CP, Magnemite included. This Magnemite was the only one of its kind that I hatched or spawn for me because as stated before, I don’t have the time to travel to far nests. So I eventually used up all Magnemite candy that came with the hatch. Thanks to the ability to walk and earn candy, I usually earn the necessary candy enough to evolve. I have a list of Pokemon order by amount of candy I need. Magnemite was below on the list because the others do actually spawn more often around me and/or easier to get enough candy to increase CP and evolve.

So recently I finally got to walking for Magnemite. It has a very low CP, 350, because it hatch when my level was low. So I decided to use some candy to increase some its CP before working to earn enough candy to evolve. However when I hit Power Up, while it play the animation of powering up, the CP stays the same. It’s not at its maximum CP for the level I’m on.

Have you sent a trouble ticket to Niantic on this? Do you have the most up to date version? Trying to think of possibilities. Never had this happen.

No on the ticket, but yes on the update. I always update as soon I hear of one. Sometimes even before the update is available in the Play Store; the apk can be found online.
