I’ve never played Pokémon before, so just went by color, red was my first choice, but my son had already picked blue, so I picked blue too. In my immediate area we have 5 gyms and they always used to be solid red and between level 6 -9, however lately they have been yellow or blue. I have stopped putting my best pokemons on the gyms, because they stay out too long, so hello teams Instinct and Mystic, and goodbye team Valor your reign short and sweet.

Now that everyone’s dogging on the Instinct leader, there’s gonna be even less people wanna join… Im team Instinct myself though, and I wouldn’t choose anything else!

Actually in my area all 3 teams are pretty active. Slightly more of the time the gyms are controlled by Mystic, but I’ve seen the 4 gyms split between all 3 teams quite often.

Being the “underdog” is exactly why we decided to join.

Best part…. Plenty of gyms to take out. LOL. Might not hold them for long, but then again which is more fun – attacking or defending?

Attacking, every time.

Yea i wish more instinct people would come together so we can take over some gyms and hold them… I’m in the energy corridor and there’s only one prominent instinct gym close by… i need more than 10 coins a day lol

I’m up to 30 coins per day and sometimes the gyms that we put up last longer than 30 minutes. I was shocked when one lasted 2 days.

Instict working in the energy corridor here. Any good gyms neaby I could help out with?

I don’t even know where the energy corridor is, so I can’t help, but I know there are enclaves of Instinct all over Houston, including areas around Rice and UH, west side, downtown.  There are supposedly maps out there that report real time gym usage.  Someone sent me screenshot of one on pokemongomap.info that had actual gym colors listed, but the basic website there just shows where the gyms are, not real-time ownership.  Maybe you have to “join”.  Anyway, your best bet is to start chatting with locals whenever you see someone prestiging, and hopefully get on a chat group through that.

In time. Maybe we should try to figure out how to unite the Instinct players on this forum.

I’m team instinct and in my neck of the woods, team instinct seems to be the top dog based on the 8-10 closest gyms. The gyms change hands, but team instinct seems to hold them more often and is by far the most likely to train them up to the highest gym level. At one point my neighborhood gym was claimed by team instinct for several weeks. Unfortunately, I missed out on gettin a piece of that since it was always full. But now that gym has been changin hands everyday.

What part of town?  I could use some coins.  Gyms still change hands daily between all three teams near me, but I’m looking to get into some long-lived high-level yellow gyms so that I don’t have to take the same five down every day.

On S. Gessner between SW Freeway and W. Airport, there are 4 gyms. 3 of them were almost exclusively owned by instinct from August-October. And the 4th one was instinct for at least 70% of the time during that same time frame. I recently got 5 days straight out of that one before gettin knocked out yesterday.

But things have been changin drastically for at least one of those gyms. It keeps switchin hands everyday now and instincts hard hitters have vanished from it.

But 2 of those 4 are still ran by instinct and are currently level 10 instinct gyms. Since August, those two gyms have belonged to team instinct like 95%-100% of the time and are usually between level 7-10. History says, you’ll eat good if you can get in one of those.
