Damn! That is the highest CP Magikarp I have seen in a while! And stupid IV, too.

How do I become a millionaire? First, get a $1,000,000…

I hadn’t seen a Magikarp that big in months. Couldn’t believe it. I actually have like 9 Bite/Hydropump Gyarados’s already. So even though this isn’t tops by dps, or really any kind of type advantaged Gyarados, I was actually excited to get this moveset. I had fought a Gyarados with this moveset earlier in the night and was really annoyed at how quickly his charged attack kept coming back up. Needless to say, these double type charged attacks can be pretty awesome. And hard as it may be to believe, I was actually thinking about this moveset in the midst of evolving, and voila. My first one with this moveset. Good times.

Yup, best defensive moveset, although I’m not as big of a Twister hater as most people are.  Those 3800 CP Gyrados fall near the top of gyms now, and at least Twister gets spammed to death and is virtually undodgeable.   Bite/HP is awesome on attack, though, and I use it more than Vaporeon for that.

That’s definitely the easiest way to get a gym-ready Gyrados, and that’s how I’ve gotten most of mine, but after the CP change, I’ve been having a hard time finding good, high-IV, high CP Magikarp in the wild.  The best I’ve been sitting on for awhile are a couple 70% IVers in the 156 CP range.  I know that as soon as I evolve one of those, I’ll find a better one, so I’m holding off.

Well. I did get another 98IV Magikarp this morning but I’m not sure this would be the quickest way to get him powered up???Just sayin.

The candies won’t be a problem, but that’s a lot of dust!  I dare you….

Aw man. Don’t do that. Don’t dare me. I am so stupid when it comes to that. This sounds dumb, but if it were a 100IV, I think I would do it. Sometimes I don’t understand myself. I was literally getting ready to make a post where I discussed the concept of stardust now being my only limiting factor in the game.

Your wife has good taste. It is only the greatest Christmas movie of all time! So are you going to power it up?

I was raised on “Its a Wonderful Life”, which is still my favorite. But obviously “A Christmas Story” is many others favorite. And I am standing firm. Unless I got triple dog dared. You can’t just walk away from that. I mean there are rules that must be followed. The triple dog dare must come from a player other than you or DosXX. Aaaaaand I’m going to go with if it doesn’t happen in the next 24 hours, you and DosXX’s original dares will dissolve and we’re back to square one. Please nobody read this post for a day???

Come on, the worst that can happen is that you have to go out and catch some more pokemon to get more dust, and at the end, you’ll have a great Gyarados… probably with Twister.  (Just keeping this thread near the top).
