Look on The Silph Road Nest atlas for local Girafarig nests.  They nest at parks, and those nests rotate every two weeks.  There’s one at Sylvan Rodriguez Park in the Clear Lake area now, for example.  Porygon don’t nest.  Both are very rare spawns and eggs, not tied to location as far as the eggs are concerned (as far as anyone can figure out so far).

As Dos stated, your best bet is TSR. Before this last migration, there was a Girafarig nest just SE, I think, of downtown. And yes, welcome to the forum! New folks are greatly appreciated.

TSR is short for The Silph Road. Go to thesilphroad.com, as you look around on that site, there will be a section called ‘Nest Atlas.’ That is where you will find what Pokémons are spawning where based on people reporting into there. Migrations happen typically every two weeks, usually Thursday afternoons. The nests will change to a different mon. We are on the 22nd migration currently. So over in Beaumont, at Tyrrell Park, AustinDial reported that Vulpix are currently spawning there.
Nick, Trainer Tips guy, who is great 👍 btw, refers to The Silph Road all the time in his videos. They are one of the groups, and one of the best, at tearing into the programming when Niantic releases an update to figure out what it means and what might be coming next. Hope that helps, did I miss anything folks? We have a lot of very knowledgeable and supportive people on this forum, Jose. So if you have questions, ask away and again, glad to have you!

Do a Google search for “The Silph Road Nest Atlas”, and click on the top hit.  They have a map where people have reported nests for their local areas.  Scroll the map until you get to the Houston/Beaumont area.  There’s a filter at the top that lets you select species.  Click on the numbered symbol to get a scouting report for the nest (some nests are probably not worth driving to).

If you don’t want to do that, just go to Sylvan Rodriguez Park in the Clear Lake area (SE of Houston, and relatively easily accessible from Beaumont via Hwy 146) before 7 PM on Wednesday, June 14, which is when the nests rotate next.  You’ll cross Girafarig off your list.

For Porygon, you’re pretty much out of luck.  The spawn more frequently in downtown areas, it seems, but they’re very, very rare.  You’ll probably have more luck hatching one, and your best chance for doing that is by buying incubators, so start getting some gym coins.

Hey, we need you in gyms!  Local Instinct players are quitting in droves.  You don’t have to be very high level to get in… if you have defenders in the 2000 CP range, that will last just as long as the 3000 CP ones these days (which is to say, not very long), and if you have attackers in the 1100-1500 CP range, that’s good enough to battle your way into the gym.

Well i dont see me quiting especially since i still have lots of things i could work on given the time and energy. Well with your expertise im sure i could get in the gyms there but i have little gyms experience so i would need help with who to use for attackers and defenders. If anyone ever sees a bright yellow car roaming around the parks its probably me.

I would use houstonpokemap.com to find some porygon. It doesn’t spawn very often tho.
